FLEXIBLE COMPONENTS

Flexible Components open in Middlesex, NJ as a manufacturer and distributor of metal hoses.

The company quickly developed and added a new family of hoses with a fluoropolymer liner, providing chemical resistance to the products.

PURE-FIT

Pure-Fit launches in Allentown, PA with the manufacturing of crimp fittings. This signifies the start of business in the rubber and silicone hose market.

ReSeal® is patented and the product line launches (formerly known as Sanitary Couplers).

Available in a wide variety of sizes and end styles, ReSeal® fittings meet the highest sanitary standards and stringent requirements of high purity processing applications, making it an ideal and reusable option for the food and beverage market.

Flexible Components moves operation from Middlesex, NJ to Bridgewater, NJ to streamline operations between various product lines and facilitate future growth.

ACQUISITIONS

Saint-Gobain Corporation through Norton Performance Plastics (later renamed Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics) acquires Flexible Components, Pure-Fit, and Sanitary Couplers.

CONSOLIDATION OF PRODUCT LINES

The Pure-Fit hose business in Allentown, PA and the Sanitary Couplers hose business in Springboro, OH are both consolidated and operations are relocated to the Bridgewater, NJ site.
