FLEXIBLE COMPONENTS

Flexible Components open in Middlesex, NJ as a manufacturer and distributor of metal hoses.

The company quickly developed and added a new family of hoses with a fluoropolymer liner, providing chemical resistance to the products.

1978

PURE-FIT

Pure-Fit launches in Allentown, PA with the manufacturing of crimp fittings. This signifies the start of business in the rubber and silicone hose market.

1985

RESEAL®

ReSeal® is patented and the product line launches (formerly known as Sanitary Couplers).

Available in a wide variety of sizes and end styles, ReSeal® fittings meet the highest sanitary standards and stringent requirements of high purity processing applications, making it an ideal and reusable option for the food and beverage market.

1992

BRIDGEWATER, NJ

Flexible Components moves operation from Middlesex, NJ to Bridgewater, NJ to streamline operations between various product lines and facilitate future growth.

1994

ACQUISITIONS

Saint-Gobain Corporation through Norton Performance Plastics (later renamed Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics) acquires Flexible Components, Pure-Fit, and Sanitary Couplers.

1999

CONSOLIDATION OF PRODUCT LINES

The Pure-Fit hose business in Allentown, PA and the Sanitary Couplers hose business in Springboro, OH are both consolidated and operations are relocated to the Bridgewater, NJ site.

2002

HOSEGARD™

HoseGard™ is patented. Designed to work with any type of hose within a large range of OD sizes, HoseGard™ features a hard, smooth finish and is constructed of corrosion and chemical resistant HDPE material. Visit the HoseGard™ product page to learn more.

2010

SOMERSET, NJ

Saint-Gobain's manufacturing facility located in Bridgewater, NJ relocates to Somerset, NJ to better accommodate the business needs of Saint-Gobain and our customers.

2017

VERSILON™ XFR HOSE

Fully FDA-compliant rubber hose, Versilon™ XFR, launches. Designed for food and beverage applications, Versilon™ XFR hose combines ergonomic handling and easy cleaning in a single lightweight, extra-flexible suction and discharge hose. Visit the Versilon™ XFR product page to learn more.

2018

MICKLETON, NJ

Saint-Gobain moves hose operations from the Somerset, NJ site and consolidates with extrusion operations at the Mickleton, NJ site where hose products are currently manufactured.
